How do I extend a lease term on Apartments.com?

You can extend your lease term dates in Apartments.com either by changing it to a month-to-month term or setting a new end date. Here are the steps you'll take:

1. Select the Residents & Leases tab.

2. Select your rental and then select View Details.

The resident screen appears.

3. Select Edit lease term dropdown and then select Edit existing dates.

An Edit Existing Dates pop-up appears.

4. Verify Edit dates is selected, enter your new term end date, and then select Save changes.

After your changes are saved, we’ll send your renters an email to let them know. Payment dates on your rent collection will automatically adjust but your renter will need to log into their Apartments.com account and adjust their Auto Pay to match the new payment dates.
