What if my renter pays with a check or outside of the app?

You can record a payment received outside of Apartments.com from your Payments page. To get started:

1. Navigate to the Transactions tab on the unit where you'd like to record an offline payment

2. Click Record Payment

3. Enter:

  • a description
  • the amount
  • the date you want the transaction to apply to your ledger (note: the offline payment will appear immediately, but the balance won't be affected until this date.)

4. Click Record Offline Payment

Note: Offline payments should have a corresponding bill. If you're missing a bill, you can find steps on how to manually add a bill here.
