How do I send my leads from Apartments.com to Rent Manager 12?

Important: Verify you've created and enabled a location that contains your entire multifamily property portfolio before following these instructions. For more information on creating a location, contact Rent Manager support.

Navigate to Rent Manager and log in to your account.

The Rent Manager dashboard appears.

Configuring User Defined Fields (UDFs)

  1. Select the Admin tab in the top navigation, select Setup, and then select User Defined Fields.

The User Defined Fields page appears.

  1. Select Add.
  2. Create a new leasing agent UDF:
    1. Set Type to Property.
    2. Enter the leasing agent's name as the Field Name.
    3. Set Field Type to Text.
  3. Select Save.

Your new leasing agent UDF is configured.

Setting up leasing agents

  1. Select the Admin tab in the top navigation, select Setup, and then select Users.

The Manage Users page appears.

  1. Select a leasing agent UDF in the left window.

General Options appear.

  1. Select and enable the Sales Rep/Leasing Agent checkbox under the Options section.

  1. Select Save.

Your leasing agent is enabled.

Editing a Property UDF

  1. Select the Rental Info tab in the top navigation and then select Properties.
  2. Select the property you want to edit.

The property page appears.

  1. Navigate to the UDF section.
  2. Enter the information from your leasing agent UDF and then select Save.

Editing a Prospect Leasing Agent

  1. Select the Rental Info tab in the top navigation and then select Prospects.
  2. Select the prospect you want to edit.

The prospect page appears.

  1. Select the General Tab and then navigate to the Miscellaneous section.
  2. Change the Leasing Agent dropdown to your new leasing agent UDF and then select Save.

Your new leasing agent is assigned.

Enabling lead attribution

  1. Select the Admin tab in the top navigation and then select Available Integrations.

The Available Integrations page appears.

  1. Locate the Apartments.com product section and then select Request Activation.

A Request Activation pop-up appears.

  1. Confirm your contact information and then select the gear icon in the Locations section.

An Edit Properties and Bank Permissions page appears.

  1. Select any properties or banks you want to grant integration access to.

  1. Select Save.

The permissions pop-up closes, and you return to the activation pop-up.

  1. Select Request Activation.

Your information is sent to Apartments.com for verification. This process takes 24 to 48 hours to complete, after which your lead data successfully syndicates to Rent Manager from Apartments.com.
