How do I connect my listing to Apartments.com using Rent Manager?

Connecting your listing refers to the process of syndication. Syndication is another way of describing the communication of listing information between a third-party service and Apartments.com. The following steps provide instructions for enabling the syndication of a property using Rent Manager.

Important: Apartments.com ILS integration with Rent Manager is only available to Rent Manager Cloud based clients. Integration is not available to Rent Manager Standalone clients.

Connect Your Listing Using Rent Manager

  1. Navigate to Rent Manager and log in to your account.

  2. Navigate to Admin > System Preferences > Online Listing > General.

  3. Select the checkbox for Enable Online Listing under Provider Settings.

    Note: Enabling Apartments.com in System Preferences enables all properties at one time. If you wish to enable Apartments.com on a property-by-property basis, refer to the Connect Your Listing on a Property-by-Property Basis section below.

  4. Select the checkbox for Apartments.com Network.

  5. A popup for Provider Contact Information appears. Enter the requested contact information and select OK.

    Note: This information automatically populates from your Rent Manager user where applicable.

  6. Select Save.

Your listing information is sent to Apartments.com for verification. This process takes 24 to 48 hours to complete, after which your listing successfully connects. Uncheck the Apartments.com Network checkbox and select Save to remove your listing from Apartments.com at any time.

Connect Your Listing on a Property-by-property Basis

  1. Navigate to Rent Manager and log into your account.

  2. Navigate to Rental Info > Properties and locate the property you want to enable.
  3. Select the Marketing Tab.

Important: Syndicating your listings on a specific property is only available for properties set up for property-level marketing configuration. To convert your property, navigate to Rental Info > Properties > Marketing Tab and follow the Property Marketing Configuration Wizard as shown below:

  1. Select Advanced at the bottom of the page and select the Provider Settings tab.

  2. Select the checkbox to Override System Preferences.

  3. Select the checkbox to Enable Online Listings.

  4. Select the checkbox for Apartments.com Network.

    A popup for Provider Contact Information appears.

  5. Enter the requested contact information and select OK.
