Rently Online Scheduling Support

Overview

Enabling online scheduling support with Rently requires three components to properly integrate with Apartments.com: configuring community settings, setting up devices, and enabling self-touring. Refer to the sections below for more information.

Configuring community settings

  1. Navigate to the Rently portal and log in to your account.

The Rently Data Dashboard appears.

  1. Select the Assets dropdown and then select Communities.

Your community settings appear.

  1. Verify Access Info is accurate.
  2. Confirm Self-Showing settings are correct.

Note: These settings are typically set once and rarely need adjustment.

Setting up devices

  1. Select the Assets dropdown and then select Devices.

Your device settings appear.

  1. Assign appropriate devices (e.g., lockboxes, smart locks) to your community and/or specific units.
  2. Ensure both physical installation and digital assignment are complete.

Enabling self-touring

Adding a new unit

  1. Select the Assets dropdown and then select Units

    The Units page appears.

  1. Select Add unit in the top-right corner of the window. A pop-up appears.
    1. Fill out the fields in the Basic tab, including street address, unit number, and building number.
    2. Fill out the fields in the Marketing tab, including price, title, description, bed/bath, and pet policy.
    3. Fill out the fields in the Showing tab, including access device (lockbox number or smart lock) and directions to the unit.
    4. Upload Unit photos.

Your unit is added.

Enabling self-touring on a unit

  1. Navigate to the Units page.
  2. Select an existing unit where you want to enable self-touring.

Unit details appear.

  1. Select a device from the Unit Access dropdown in the Linked Devices section.
  2. Select and enable the Self-Touring toggle button.

After enabling self-touring, contact onlinescheduling@apartments.com to request enabling self-guided tours on your Apartments.com listings.

After Apartments.com receives your request, the feeds team starts enabling self-guided tours. This process takes 24 to 48 hours to complete, after which your listings are successfully updated with integrated tour scheduling.
