Will verifying my identity impact my credit?
As a recipient of an online application and screening reports through Apartments.com, you're required to verify your identity with TransUnion.
The identity verification won't impact your credit such as lowering your credit score since we're not running a credit report on you. A report won't be generated and this is just an extra security security step with TransUnion to ensure that an applicant's sensitive information is only shared with a verified individual.
Note: You may also be required to verify your identity when adding a new listing or if you'd like to collect online rent payments on Apartments.com. This is a one-time verification.
