What is the Request to Apply feature?

When your listing is active on Apartments.com, there are a number of ways a renter can reach out to you. Along with an email or phone call, we now offer renters a chance to inquire about your rental while giving you a picture of their background and income. 

The "Request to Apply" feature will be present on all user-submitted listings, and when a renter selects it, they will be able to self report their income and credit history. After this information is provided, you will receive an email notification about the renter's interest in your property.
