Can someone text message me through the website?

When a listing goes live, we don't actually display your actual phone number on the advertisement. 

The number you see masks your personal number but still forwards the call to the number you provided. Because of this, renters won't be able to send you text messages through the website.

As a workaround, if you update the Contact Preference to include email, this gives renters an option to communicate with you about the listing through written correspondence.
