How do I make my listing say 'available soon'?

At Apartments.com, we want to help empower prospective renters to make informed decisions by providing them with accurate and detailed information. Phrasing such as "available soon" is generic, and it discourages communities from consistently updating their listing's availability status.

Listings that are not being updated routinely appear at the bottom of seekers' search results, according to paid package level.  This may cause your listing to be overlooked, and it may limit the listing's exposure.  Additionally, we have found that a lack of providing specific availability can: (1) increase the number of unqualified leads; and (2) increase the number of phone calls to find out exactly how soon an apartment will be available.

The availability statuses are (as reflected in the sample screenshot below):

  • Available Now
  • Not Available
  • Available on a specific date
