How do I update local education, points of interest, or transportation information on my listing?

Listings on Apartments.com host a small collection of local information such as schools, colleges, transportation options, and other points of interest. This information is generated by default based on your community location.

If you want to update your default collection, you will need to manually configure it in Customer Portal. Refer to the sections below for steps on updating this information.

Navigate to Apartments.com and log into your account.
Select Menu, Properties & Listings, and then Properties.

The Properties page appears.

Select Edit Listing under the property where you want to make changes.

The Edit Listing page appears.

Updating colleges and schools

Adding and removing colleges

Select the Education tab on the Edit Listing page.

The Education page appears.

Browse the Nearby Colleges section and select the + icon by the college you want to display on your listing.

Select Save Changes.

The college is added to your listing.

Note: You can display up to four colleges on your listing. Select the trash icon on a college to remove it from your listing at any time.

Adding and removing schools

Select the Schools tab on the Education page.

Select the filter dropdowns to narrow your search for specific schools.

Browse the Nearby Schools section and select the + icon by the school you want to display on your listing.

Select Save Changes.

The school is added to your listing.

Note: You can display up to six public schools and six private schools on your listing. Select the trash icon on a school to remove it from your listing at any time.

Updating transit, rail, and airports

Adding and removing transit

Select the Transportation tab on the Edit Listing page.

The Transportation page appears.

Browse the Nearby Transit/Subway section and select the + icon by the transit option you want to display on your listing.

Select Save Changes.

The transit option is added to your listing.

Note: You can display up to five transit options on your listing. Select the trash icon on a transit option to remove it from your listing at any time.

Adding and removing commuter rail

Select the Commuter Rail tab on the Transportation page.

Browse the Nearby Commuter Rail section and select the + icon by the commuter rail option you want to display on your listing.

Select Save Changes.

The commuter rail option is added to your listing.

Note: You can display up to five commuter rail options on your listing. Select the trash icon on a commuter rail option to remove it from your listing at any time.

Adding and removing airports

Select the Airports tab on the Transportation page.

Browse the Nearby Airports section and select the + icon by the airport you want to display on your listing.
Select Save Changes.

The airport is added to your listing.

Note: You can display up to two airports on your listing. Select the trash icon on an airport to remove it from your listing at any time.

Updating shopping, parks, and military bases

Adding and removing shopping centers

Select the Point of Interest tab on the Edit Listing page.

The Point of Interest page appears.

Browse the Nearby Shopping section and select the + icon by the shopping center you want to display on your listing.

Select Save Changes.

The shopping center is added to your listing.

Note: You can display up to three shopping centers on your listing. Select the trash icon on a shopping center to remove it from your listing at any time.

Adding and removing parks

Select the Parks and Recreation tab on the Point of Interest page.

Browse the Nearby Parks section and select the + icon by a park you want to display on your listing.

Select Save Changes.

The park is added to your listing.

Note: You can display up to five parks on your listing. Select the trash icon on a park to remove it from your listing at any time.

Select the Military Bases tab on the Point of Interest page.

Browse the Nearby Military Bases section and select the + icon by the military base you want to display on your listing.
Select Save Changes.

The military base is added to your listing.

Note: You can display up to three military bases on your listing. Select the trash icon on a military base to remove it from your listing at any time.
