How do I connect my listing to Apartments.com using MagicDoor?

Connecting your listing is done through a process called syndication. Syndication allows listing information to be automatically shared between MagicDoor and Apartments.com. Through this connection, MagicDoor sends your community details, unit information, pricing, and availability to Apartments.com. This ensures your listings remain accurate and up to date without manual updates.

Syndicating your listings

  1. Navigate to the MagicDoor portal and log in to your account.
  2. Select the Listing tab in the main navigation.

The Listing page appears.

  1. Select the unit you want to syndicate to Apartments.com.

  1. Select the Listing Syndication tab.

  1. Verify that the Apartments.com toggle is enabled.

  1. Contact feeds@apartments.com and request listing syndication with Apartments.com. Be sure to include the name and full address of the property you would like to connect.

After Apartments.com receives your request, the feeds team begins to enable syndication. This takes 24 to 48 hours to complete, after which your listing information is syndicated. 

Enabling automatic syndication

  1. Select Settings.

  1. Select Syndication under the Lease section.

  1. Verify that Apartments.com is set to on.

Enabling this setting ensures that syndication to Apartments.com will always be on by default.
