Community Website FAQs
Apartments.com Community Websites will be retired on December 31, 2025. Your website will remain live and fully supported through that date. During this transition period, our team is here to support you. If you need any updates or changes made to your website, please contact us at communitywebsites@costar.com.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Will I lose access to my domain?
No. You own your domain and will retain full control. You can connect it to your new website without needing a transfer. Your new website provider should be able to help you make the necessary DNS changes.
2. What will happen to the delegate access I provided to your team?
If you previously invited our team as a delegate to update your domain, this account will be securely shut down, removing any access by our team. We will keep our existing access through the end of the year in case any updates are needed.
3. Can I take over my current site?
Yes, upon request we can provide the information needed for you to set up your own WordPress website. We can provide the WordPress theme files used to build your site, along with any site content and logos created. If you are an Apartments.com listing subscriber, you will be able to continue using any Costar media on your new website. Just email us at communitywebsites@costar.com to request them.
While we will do our best to provide the website content and helpful resources to help you get your website transferred, we will not be able to set up your new site on your behalf.
4. What happens after December 31, 2025?
Your website will no longer be hosted on our servers. We recommend transitioning to a new provider before this date to avoid any disruption.
