How do I set up lead attribution using WelcomeHome?

Setting up lead attribution using WelcomeHome requires locating three critical components to properly integrate with Apartments.com: a Lead Source ID, an API Token, and your Community ID. Refer to the sections below for more information.

Requesting Apartments.com integration
Locating your Lead Source ID
- Navigate to the WelcomeHome portal and log in to your account.
The WelcomeHome dashboard appears.
- Select your account name dropdown in the top right corner of the window and then select Global Setup.
The Global Setup page appears.
- Enter Lead Sources in the search field and then select See more in the Lead Sources tile.
The Lead Source page appears.
- Locate the Apartments.com Lead Source row and select Apartments.com.
The Apartments.com Lead Source page appears.
- Inspect the URL of the page and locate the series of numbers at the end of this URL. This is your Lead Source ID.
Locating your API Token
- Navigate back to Global Setup, enter API Tokens in the search field, and then select See more in the API Tokens tile.
- Navigate to the Apartments.com row and locate your API Token under the Token column.
Locating your Community ID
- Select your account name dropdown in the top right corner of the window and then select Community Setup.
The Community Setup page appears.
- Search for the community where you want to set up lead attribution and locate its CommunityID under the Communities table.
Requesting Apartments.com integration
Contact feeds@apartments.com to request connection between your communities and Apartments.com. Be sure to include your Lead Source ID, your API Token, and the Community ID of each property where you would like enable lead attribution.
After Apartments.com receives your request, the feeds team starts enabling lead attribution. This process takes 24 to 48 hours to complete, after which your lead attribution information successfully syndicates.
