How do I add fees and policies to my listing details page?
Accessing Fees & Policies
- Navigate to Apartments.com and log in to your account.
- Select the Properties tab under the Properties Dashboard.
The Properties page appears.
- Select the property where you want to enable the Rent Estimate Calculator.
- Select the Fees & Policies tab.
The Fees & Policies page appears.
Enabling the Rent Estimate Calculator
The Rent Estimate Calculator is a feature that links your fees and policies to your listing details page to provide renters with monthly and one-time costs to help them better gauge affordability.
Select and 'turn on' the Enable Rent Estimate Calculator slider at the top of the Fees & Policies page.
Important: Enabling the Rent Estimate Calculator requires you to have entered and saved at least one fee on the Fees & Policies page. For more information on adding fees, refer to the sections below.

Adding a one-time fee
- Navigate to the One-Time Move-in Fees section and select the Add button.
A new fee row appears.
- Select the Type dropdown and then select a fee type.
Note: Alternatively, enter text in the Type dropdown to filter and select specific fees.
- Select the One-Time Fee field and enter a fee amount.
- Select Done. The row changes to a read-only state.
- Select Save Changes at the bottom of the page to save your added fees and enable the Rent Estimate Calculator.
Adding a custom fee
- Navigate to the One-Time Move-in Fees, Monthly Utilities & Services, or Other Fees section and select the Add button.
A new fee row appears.
- Select the Add Custom Fee Type checkbox.
The Custom Fee Type Name field appears.
- Enter your custom fee type name.
- Select the Fee field and enter a fee amount.
- Select Done. The row changes to a read-only state.
- Select Save Changes at the bottom of the page to save your added fees and enable the Rent Estimate Calculator.
Deleting a fee
- Select the Trash icon by an existing fee.
A pop-up appears.
- Select Delete Fee.
- Select Save Changes at the bottom of the page to remove your deleted fees from the Rent Estimate Calculator.
Adding pet policies
- Navigate to the Pets section and select the Add button.
- Select the Type dropdown and then select a pet type.
- Enter a Deposit amount, Monthly Fee, One-Time Fee, Weight Limit, and Max Allowed.
- Select the Requirements dropdown and then select checkboxes by your pet requirements.
- Enter pet restrictions and comments.
- Select Done. The row changes to a read-only state.
- Select Save Changes at the bottom of the page to save your added policies and enable the Rent Estimate Calculator.
