How do I add fees and policies to my listing details page?

Accessing Fees & Policies

  1. Navigate to Apartments.com and log in to your account.
  2. Select the Properties tab under the Properties Dashboard.

The Properties page appears.

  1. Select the property where you want to enable the Cost Calculator.
  2. Select the Fees & Policies tab.

The Fees & Policies page appears.

Enabling the Cost Calculator

The Cost Calculator is a feature that links your fees and policies to your listing details page to provide renters with monthly and one-time costs to help them better gauge affordability.

Select and enable the Cost Calculator toggle at the top of the Fees & Policies page.

Important: Enabling the Cost Calculator requires you to have entered and saved at least one fee on the Fees & Policies page. For more information on adding fees, refer to the sections below.

Adding a one-time fee

  1. Navigate to the One-Time Fees section and select the Add One-Time Fee button.

A fee wizard appears.

  1. Search for or select a Fee from the provided list and then select Continue.

The fee wizard continues.

  1. Configure the fee you selected.
    1. Select a Charge Frequency.
    2. Select a Charge Type.
    3. Select a Fee Calculation Method.
    4. Enter a Fee Amount and then select when it is due.

Note: You can also configure a fee's display name, max allowed, and enter comments on the right side of the fee wizard.

  1. Select Save when you are done configuring your fee. Your One-Time Fee is added to your Fees & Policies page.

Adding a custom fee

  1. Navigate to the One-Time Fees, Utilities & Essentials, or any other fee section and select the Add button.

A fee wizard appears.

  1. Enter a custom fee name in the provided field and then select Continue.

The fee wizard continues.

  1. Configure the custom fee you entered.
    1. Select a Charge Frequency.
    2. Select a Charge Type.
    3. Select a Fee Calculation Method.
    4. Enter a Fee Amount and then select when it is due.

  1. Select Save when you are done configuring your custom fee. Your fee is added to your Fees & Policies page.

Deleting a fee

  1. Select the Trash icon by an existing fee.

A pop-up appears.

  1. Select Delete Fee.

The fee is deleted.

Adding pet policies

  1. Navigate to the Pets section and select the Add Pet Fee button.

A fee wizard appears.

  1. Select a pet type from the provided list and then select Continue.

The fee wizard continues.

  1. Configure the pet type you selected.
    1. Select a Charge Frequency.
    2. Select a Charge Type.
    3. Select a Fee Calculation Method.
    4. Enter a Fee Amount.

  1. Enter pet type requirements, limits, and restrictions.

  1. Select Save when you are done. Your fee is added to your Fees & Policies page.
