How do I update my listing using AppFolio?

Apartments.com requires you to provide four key data points to publish a successful Apartments.com ad listing through the AppFolio Internet Listing Service (ILS) syndication:

• The Marketing Information sections under the Property, Unit Type, and Unit tabs in AppFolio.
• The Marketing Photos section under the Property tab.
• The Floorplan Photos section under the Unit Types tab.
• The Rental Information section under the Units tab. This includes Market/Advertised Rent Amounts, Square Footage, and Bedroom and Bathroom values.

Updating Your Listing Using AppFolio

1. Navigate to AppFolio and log in to your account.
2. Select the Properties dropdown on the left Dashboard navigation and then select Properties. The Property page appears.

3. Verify that your property addresses are correct. Select Edit to update the content and then select Save when you are done.

4. Navigate to the Marketing Information section under the Property tab. Enter your property name in the Property Marketing Name field. Provide a marketing description of your property in the Marketing Description field. This description increases your listing’s traffic and attracts more potential applicants. Select Edit to update the content and then select Save when you are done.

5. Navigate to the Marketing Photos section under the Property tab. Select the Upload Photo button to upload photos to your listing.

6. Navigate to the Floorplan Photos section under the Unit Types tab. Select the Upload Photo button to upload photos to your listing. This ensures that your listing stands out among other listings on Apartments.com.

7. Navigate to the Rental Information section under the Units tab and verify that the content is correct. This ensures that your rental information on your Apartments.com listing is up to date. Select Edit to update the content and then select Save when you are done.
